Hello coaches and parents,

On behalf of Top Gun Sports, I first would like to welcome you the Top Gun "1st Round Qualifier for the State Championship" tournament and thank you for making this tournament a part of your schedule.  I would like to bring to your attention a few housekeeping items that should make your time with us more enjoyable.  Please familiarize yourself with Top Gun rules and in particular, tiebreaker/seeding rules, pitching limitation, time limits and mercy rules.

Please note:  This weekend the games times will be 1 hour and 45min

We have 54 teams playing this weekend at 4 different venues.  Please make sure you are aware of your game times and venue location.

Please make every effort to sign in with the site director when you arrive and turn in the following:

-  Entry Fee  (8U is $275, 9U-12U is $300)

   Cash/Check is fine - if writing a check, make it out to "Top Gun Sports"
-  Xerox copy of your teams proof of insurance.
-  Top Gun Roster  - Click here if you don't have a copy!
 

We will have a table setup at each venue - with 54 teams playing this weekend, things will run a lot smoother if everyone will do this.  YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO START YOUR FIRST GAME UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED IN

TOURNAMENT UPDATE - 6/4/10 @ 10:00AM

Please check the website frequently up until first thing Saturday morning should something change.  I don't foresee any changes but I will not have time to call 54 different teams should something happen late in the week and we have to spend time rescheduling games.  So far, the weather looks pretty good for this weekend.  If we do get any rain, I will post weather updates at the top of this page and it will say "Weather Update"  If you do not see this located on the main page, then that means all games are on schedule.

All of the facilities are great places to play and in order to maintain these facilities, there will be a gate fee for spectators.  Players and coaches are exempt.  There will be a signup sheet at the gate for the coaches.  The cost to enter the facilities this weekend is $5 for adults(12 and up) and $3 for seniors and ages 7-11.  Kids 6 and under will get in free.  No teams will travel to multiple sites on the same day.   

I will update the scores online as they come in.  We will also fill in the Sunday schedule as soon as the last pool play games are completed on Saturday.  If everything goes pretty much on schedule the game times for Sunday will be available online Saturday night for the following age groups at the following times:

  8’s – 8:00pm
  9’s – 8:00pm
10’s – 8:00pm
11’s – 10:00pm
12’s – 5:00pm

 

Scorecards:

This is extremely important.  Please make sure You fill out your lineup on one half of the card, and then the other coach will write their lineup on the other half.  The umpire will keep the card and keep track of the score, pitching records, and any homeruns hit.  At the end of each game, both coaches must sign the scorecard to verify this information.  Please make sure everything is correct because I have to go by what is on the card, and it will be very hard to overturn anything that cannot be proven.

There will be an individual site director at each location this weekend.  Please find them upon arrival and check in.
